Dr. Bianca Oliver

Owner, Optometrist

Dr. Oliver grew up outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee where she had her eyes set on the medical profession and healthcare delivery from an early age. This desire lead her to East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN where she received her Bachelors of Science in Public Health with a focus in Healthcare Administration. Following completion of her undergraduate degree, Bianca obtained her Doctorate of Optometry (OD) degree at Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry.

Upon completing her Doctorate, Dr. Oliver decided to begin her career in New York City where she saw patients in over fifteen different clinic settings.  After some time in the city, she realized the south was where she wanted to ultimately land and decided on Raleigh, North Carolina.

In 2021 Dr. Oliver opened Oak City Vision Center and began her journey as a business owner.

When she's not seeing patients, Dr. Oliver enjoys cooking, playing tennis with her husband, and snuggling her dog, Simba.

Simba A. Oliver

Meet Our Furry Team Member, Simba!

Simba was the first employee and is consistently voted

"Favorite Staff Member" of Oak City Vision Center.

(Although he frequently sleeps on the job)

You can find him at the office on most days lounging in the waiting room, sleeping in one of his many beds around the office, or lending a helping hand to patients picking out frames in our Optical Shop! Fun fact: he has the best style advice!

Prefer to have your eye exam without a visit from Simba? Not a problem! Just let us know prior to your exam and we will have him take a snooze in his secret spot away from patients.
